we care about in new routes this is one of them “VINICUNCA” (5000 masl.) THE RAINBOW MOUNTAIN or best know by the locals as CERRO COLORADO, only in 2 DAY trek; from high above, its geological formations reveal all their splendour, in a contrast with the blue sky forming a formidable barrier enters the coastal desert and the Amazonian jungle, imposing cordillera Vilcanota counts almost as many glaciers as the AUSANGATE
we leave Cusco early morning, adjust to its altitude by exploring through the Vilcanota Valley and small villages, colonial church, and its small inca site, a short drive from here takes us to the beginning of the trek, where we manned by Quechua-speaking Inca descendants, after a short break, our hiking continued toward VINICUNCA THE RAINBOW MOUNTAIN or 7 COLORS MOUNTAIN, This is a perfect opportunity to stop for photos and a snack. From here we continue on to our campsite, at 4200 m.a.s.l we should reach our campsite by lunch time, After lunch we set off to explore the area of Machu Raqay (means the old thunder).
This is the most challenging but most rewarding day of the hike, rise early on the final morning and see the sunrise Spend the day exploring this huge marvelous. A 3hr hike takes us to the highest pass of the trek, known as PALOMANI PASS (approx 5100 masl), with imposing views over the CORDILLERA VILCANOTA and the AUSANGATE SNOW MOUNTAIN, raising over the horizon, From here all downhill hiking we head to Chilca and return to Cusco
